Don’t miss your chance to see From the Exotic to the Mystical: Woven Treasures from the Permanent Collection, at the de Young Museum, San Francisco, on show till 4 August 2013. The exhibition features more than 40 objects from 15 centuries of textile arts, all drawn from the Museums’ private holdings and many of which have not been seen before. It includes finely detailed English embroideries, playful Spanish laces, elaborate French ecclesiastical vestments, and many others.
