  1. HALI Review: Zeki Muren at David Sorgato

    Milan-based antique carpet dealer David Sorgato curated the exhibition ‘Zeki Müren’s Inspiration’ at the Sartirana Textile Show, 13-16 September 2018, followed by a selling exhibition at his gallery that closed in January 2019.   2. Carpets and Textiles at Christie’s, London, 26 April 2018

    Christie’s forthcoming sale Arts of the Islamic and Indian Worlds features a selection of 70 carpets from the past five centuries, highlighting the various weaving centres within the Islamic world, from Spain to China.

    A brief overview by Daniel Shaffer of the sale of Anatolian kilims, North African carpets and southeast Asian textiles from the collection of the Austrian businessman Theodor Poppmeier, in which the best kilim lots outdid even those of the recent series from the much higher-profile Vok Collection.
