100 Kelims, Volkspark Halle
An album of photographs of the opening evening of the exhibition ‘100 Kelims: The Hamid Sadighi Neiriz Collection’ in Halle, Germany, where the century-old Volkspark exhibition hall, part of the city of Halle’s Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design, long associated with textile education, offered an ideal, high-ceilinged location in which to expose an art-aware young audience to an extraordinary collection of antique Anatolian, Caucasian and above all Persian, tribal and village kilims and other graphic flatweaves. The exhibition continues until 30 November 2014.
