19 February 2010 HALI contributing author Nancy Hoskins, along with travel company Active Travel, has organised a two week textile tour of Egypt, including time spent in Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, and Alexandria plus a Nile Cruise. The thirteen day itinerary focuses on fine textile collections with trips to Cairo’s new Islamic Museum and the Coptic Museum, the Luxor Museum and a special visit to the Ramses Wissa Wassef weaving centre, plus all the major sights, Ottoman houses, the Khan el Khalili bazaar and much more including time to go exploring further.
